Heya. Bought myself a gleaming 2007 Tuono R a fortnight ago. :thumbup I'm actually the third owner, but it only had 950 miles on it! Well, it has 1300 now coz I can't put it down! :lol

It's been great to get back on a bike. Had a wee off back in May and totalled my 06 R1. Did myself a bit of damage too, but I've nearly mended myself now. Can't say the same about the Yam, tho I see some breaker has it on fleabay.

Decided to go for something a bit more suited to the bumpy back roads round here and it was between an FZ1, Zthou, SuperDuke and the Tuono. Honestly, I think I'd have been happy with any of em. But guess what came up for grabs at the right price. :yes

I've started planning mods etc. I needed a few questions answered so I thought this might be a good place to start! I'll come to the modding plans later....

So, how the hell are ya all. And do I get a round in about now? I'm on Long Vodka's tonight, lol. :cheers

welcome to the clan haggis,
I'm sure you will fit straight in around here but a word of advice... never offer a free beer on here unless your prepared to have vagrants from as far away as manchester or even canada turning up on ya door step for a pint or two 'o heavy before you have time to wipe that silly tuono induced grin from yer face, the one that you have been wearing for the past 2 weeks! (we all have it) :)
Cheers, squatepantz

Third owner and 950 miles on it?? Wtf??! Glad to hear that you are putting her through her paces finally! She's not even broken in yet! And yes, I have been known to travel great distances for free beer. Reciprocation is always the real deal if anyone decides to make it to this side of the pond.

Och aye Haggis. Welcome to the Zone.

Did someone mention free beer? Shvl and I will both be there. Where and when then???

Enjoy your new toy. We all know you'll love it

I see its another bloody nesbit. How many is that now?:eek
Telling ya were gonna need these pages translated.
Anyhoo, as long as your riding a T and offering drinks for free you'll do for me. Tee hee hee.:cheers

Poetic, beautifull piece of work Nobist. Well done.:thumbup

Greetings dude. I'd been looking at the FZ1 & zed 1000 also, but after a ride on the T the mind was made up.
Enjoy the bike, and this amazing place of worship

Our house has been known to accommodate forum members, ask some of the folk off SV.org. :D I've still got my SV650 too. As a bonus, the roads leading from civilisation to here are some of the best in the country. You'd be mad to miss them.

Shvlhead, i see you live in Edmonton. I passed thru there about 10yrs go, amazing country. I've been promising my g/f a trip to Canada to see polar bears at Churchill, so one day I may turn up on your doorstep!!! :eek

A bit more about the bike...
The first owner bought it in Dec07, did 600 miles in a year, took it to the dealer for the first service, added Akra's and map2 mod. Then traded it in 50miles later, after removing the akra's tho. :rolleyes

I think I spotted it at this point, but I wasn't looking to buy - so just thought... hmm, nice bike!

The second guy got it a week later. Stuck it in the shed for winter, did 300 miles over 3 or 4 rideouts, then broke his leg badly and decided to put it up for sale as he's still in a cast and crutches. Poor guy.

So I stepped in to save the bike from boredom and cobwebs, £4500 lighter. Bargain, I think. There doesn't seem to be many around with this colour scheme. A Factory tank obviously, but the cowl and seat have the Daytona300 stickers. Anyone know more about these?

Had a run with a couple of mates last week.

Hi Haggis and welcome, you`ve just reminded me to get some . I will be up in Galloway for a few days this week with the wife. Up to Moffat first for some Tasties and then to the aunties house . Some good roads around there even in a car.
The bike looks well and a good price, nice one
