hello all, is anyone using heated grips on their Tuono? what make? easy to fit? how do they perform? is there a plug on the harness to take them or do you wire back to the battery? and any other hints and tips you could give re the subject. have seen bar muffs on ebay and was thinking of sticking a pair on for the winter, I know they look crap but if they make riding bearable at this time of year I could live with that.
Cheers guys.

symtex pal, theres a thread on here somewhere.

not sempex mind, thet,ll blow yer ****** wrists off...

gf, a widnae know, all a dae is keep the feck oot the road of them.

The wife uses Oxford original hot grips on her sv650 they are a little bulky but are fookin ace at keepin yer fingers toasty. I've been looking at the 'sports' hot grips for me T as they are a little slimmer.....

Got oxford grips on at the moment but I didnt fit them and they will soon be coming off , I don't like heated grips think your better with decent gloves or better still heated inner gloves . At lease they keep your fingers warm rather just palms , two finger gloves (lobster claw type ) are worth a trying, heine gericke do a decent set if you can stand the looks .
Rawly

Thanks for the replies all, I`ve just ordered a set of bar muffs, (fnarr-fnarr) off flea-bay for £19.50 delivered (with a free balaclava) so I`ll give them a go before I start messing with wiring, if they`re no good then I`ll get some grips. as long as the muffs keep the windblast off they should be ok. will let you know how I get on.

Heated grips are the mutts nuts but with these boxing gloves you will look a tool ... but a tool who can box

Until you get off and reveal your glowing red paws and get battered by a legend such as "Myth" or that new ****** aka "maybe Myth"

Yer had a few then mucker? and why the feck not.

This place stagnated fir a while but a must admit ower the last week its kickin aff again.

Glad yer still here mucker.

Haha Aldo FAF, enjoying the crack on here!

Guys got some wrap round oxford ones you velcro on to eacn bar, a set of dorsodura hand guards with home made brackets to fit the T and a set of bar muffs i got in a lucky dip at BMF Kelso show some years back - a good combination, as the permanent heated grips are wider than standard T grips and caused my wee hands to ache on longer journeys, so can take thes off anytime also the muffs inner fleece can get wet so again can be removed to dry out, and lets face it don't look cool but keep yer digiits warm! :)

Symtec grip heaters are good and I have them on my APRC.
Google Winding Roads Symtec and that should get you
Going. I bought some neoprene muffs and the two together
Are very toasty, but the muffs are hard to put your hand into....

true 'Goose the muffs can be a distraction when using them, would recommend using wire coat hanger cut up to open up mouth of each muff to allow yer hand to get in and out quick to flag myopic drivers or wave at BMW riders etc BTW can't use the indicator switch properly when mine are on, and seem to use the horn more lol.

That's a good idea.
I have to make a fist and go in knuckles first at the mo,
But once in they are very effective. But it's not a smooth riding
Experience at all. If I had a long cold journey ahead I wouldn't
Go without them now though.

Have you considered those hand guards that are fitted to most big trailies.

My Dominator has them fitted & I dont notice the cold, so they must be doing something.

Should be easy enough to try, probably cheap from a breakers.
