Hi,

has anyone fitted Oxford heated grips to a Mille ?

To get this working off the ignition and not run the battery down, where do I connect the leads to ?

How long do they take to fit and is there anything else I need to look out for ?

Thanks, George.

i've got saito on both the mille and the futura. these ones: http://www.louis.de/_3020c5e427244e57f81fe0e802c9035217/index.php?topic=artnr&artnr=10032046

they aren't really good to be honest, just ok in the spring and autumn. if you have good winter gloves you' won't feel much heat, in town as long as you don't take short trips they're ok-ish. but they heat up relatively slow, some 3 minutes. i've plugged the through a relay (50w one) and the "command" part is on the ignition button so i won't forget them on if i stop the engine on the side of the road but need some light. i'd REALLY much better reccomend heated gloves. now those ARE something to think about! they heat up in no-time, they heat the fingers and the back of the hand and really do a good job overall. i for one use these gloves: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/461/10885/ITEM/Firstgear-Carbon-Heated-Gloves.aspx for the protection and look but there are lots of other models and brands...

Hi Stress,

Thanks for the reply.

I have already bought the heated grips so I am gonna try them out. I am hoping they will be quite good cos I like in Northern Scotland and its get s bit chilly sometimes.

A few yrs ago and heated grips to my mind was akin to owning a goldwing, however as i am getting older they are becoming quite appealing... So let us know how you get on haglis

Ps your doubly excused since youre up in jockland !

Same for me but now I am 46 with painful hands, I dont give a crap what anyone else says, I'm not putting up with frozen fingers any more !! :)

Where abouts do you live? I love scotland last time i was there we stayed nr campbelltown. Unfortunatly we go in the car but everytime we are up there i dream of being on my bike

I live in Aberdeen.

Some great roads around here and in Perthshire and the Highlands.

We (about 16 of us so far) are doing a tour of the Scottish coast in may for charity. 1300 miles in 4 days for UCAN.
