Heat on RSV4R

Heyas guys!

I purchased my RSV4R in june 2010, Love the Bike except for one thing...The left leg burns when riding!!!
I've checked several tech spots and forums to see if anyone knows of a way to route heat off the left leg without damaging the bike. All I've been able to find is that "it's hot!"
My bike runs about 220 to 227 ferenheit (sp) and the 95 degree weather and 100% humidity doesn't help! lol. During the winter it will be appreciated, but untill then it's unbearable...any help is greatly appreciated! Thanx in advance

I only find it too hot when I (very occasionally) ride in jeans. It's not too bad in leathers.

One suggestion might be to wrap the header on the rear nearside cylinder in exhaust wrap, you can get it from most tuning and accessory shops. Does anyone know why this shouldn't be done?

my rsv4r is the same but only when stuck at lights or in slow traffic .she goes to 103 c may not seem hot but the mille only ever went to about 97c .the fans kick in at 101 102 but when i park up cant touch frame or it would burn me .is this normal anyone help us .nobody replys

yeah it runs hot..very hot lol, seen over 110 degrees now I dont wear jeans on it very often lol

I found it ok when wearing leathers, but the heat seems to get through my Hood jeans!!, mine used to get up to 112-114.

Must be a V4 thing, the Desmosedici is the same!

Apparently the heat issue was why they opted for a cable clutch instead of hydraulic for fear of cooking the clutch fluid

coat the headers in ceramic AND wrap them. trust me, it will make a WORLD of difference! i've done that on about 10 motorcycles and the water temp was about 5 degrees (centigrade) lower on all of them! plus you'll have a slightly more responsive engine with any exhaust (stock included).
