Well the bike needs an mot but I think i've got to get the head bearing done, seems a lot of play.

How much am I looking at getting theses done?
I did by gsxr ones years ago but had a mate in a local garage who was able to get the bearing off and press the new ones on for me. he's not working their now so it has to go in to get done :(

thanks Garv

Just whip off the top yoke and nip up the nut to get it through the MOT.

That'll give you some time to get it down to your local friendly bike mechanic who can set them up properly for you.

you think that will do? think I will give it a bash this weekend then and see how we go. Trying to get it done before my rear tyre passes its limit :)

Go to a bearing supplier and not a bike shop its much cheaper. Give them the measurments and they'll match them.

its not the cost of the bearings its getting someone to be able to remove the old and replace the new with a press. Guess it would be the same as my old gsxr?!?

The ones on my storm were a doddle to replace, easy to tap out and new ones virtually fell into place with a little persuasion, cant see the rsv ones being any harder

ok, well I guess it worth a bash and save me some time in the long run. best find some bearings :)
