as the title says. I last took my 02 mille r out a week ago and everything was fine. tried to start this morning and it turned over but would not fire up. checked tps and is reading 0. no other faults showing on dash. removed plugs and they were wet so I know i have fuel. I can also smell it coming from exhaust when I crank it over. I put a spark tester between plug and ht lead and it sparks.:confused any ideas? only thing i can think of, is it has a non standard ecu chip set up for an open pipe. But I destroyed the pipe in a low speed crash so it has the standard one on. This may make it run a little rich but it has been ok for a few weeks until this morning. The plugs look the right colour apart from being wet.

As above. Leave a plug out on both cylinders out for an hour or so but probably best to leave them resting on the hole to prevent debris getting in. This should allow the flooded cylinders to dry out. Check plugs are clean and gapped correctly and then have another go but maybe try no choke and full throttle starting but be sure to snap the throttle back off the stop when it starts and catch it on the choke.
??
Did it sound like it wanted to start when you first tried and did the starter motor sound powerful??

I had this the other day.

As the guy's have said probably flooded. Hold the throttle open when trying to start - should fire....

Thanks for replies. Wizbit yes it did try to start and starter was turning well. I always keep it on a trickle charger. I was thinking I might have flooded it so left it for a few hrs. Turned it over just now and gave it a fistfull as you said and it started. Thanks Lads.

Mine has standard indicators, assume yours does too.

Bulbs should be BA15s 12v 10w.

Rob :)

Yes just standard ones, but I have no idea on the bulb size and I really need to get sorted as my husband needs me to sell the bike for him, so any help would be great :)

The plastic lenses are coloured orange so the bulbs should be clear (not orange) BA15S 12V 10W.

Should be able to get them from any bike or car parts shop.

Rob :)
