I don't know if you've realised but apparently you need at least 10 miles of 'hard' riding to replace the charge used to start the bugger (on the first attempt)...so 3 hours riding in the cold(ish) weather may have not totally replaced the charge, particularly if your battery is on it's way out!...I iknow that's crap BUT it's a small price to pay for the RUSH or riding this Italian beauty...Plus I will reiterate that a good mate has had his RSV for 5 years on the same standard battery (maintained on an optimate) and has never had any starting problems!
