After Griff trashing another gearbox we have fixed the 18th August for his visit.

Griff's Diary so far.

Me 9.30 - 11.00
Pieman - 11.00 - 12.00
Johnt - 12.00

Heroblob 2pm - 3pm

If you want in just let me know.

won't be getting any work done as he is here next week but might pop in for a brew and a chat if it's alright. My parents live not far away in Ipswich so could kill 2 birds with one stone.:thumbup

You're wasting your time allocating time slots mate, Griff has no perception of time and motion. He's like all good technicians and engineers, the job takes as long as it takes to get it spot on. :thumbup

(Quality over quantity is the sign of a true professional) :doug

I haven't bothered allocating time slots but I see where you're coming from. I'm just saying turn up first come first served. This isn't work for Griff it's pure pleasure as he said himself:inlove
Might even have a look at some leathers when I get there if that's alright Mahoney?:dunno

No problem at all Pompey. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'm on annual leave for the week of the 18th so I may pop across if that's OK!

Don't need any tweaks done but would be good to have a browse of your leathers etc... mate! (Not that I have any money LOL)

PS. I like Jaffa cakes too :doug

Hi guys,

Has Griff confirmed for tomorrow, if yes what time are you serving lunch mate? LOL :doug

I'm treating myself to a lay in tomorrow so I reckon I'll be able to get there for around midday ish! :thumbup

See you all laters!

Yes mate, all confirmed, If you mean jaffa cakes then as long as they last but there is a macD,dominoes, kentucky and a fish and chip shop witihn 5 mins.

Cool, I'll aim to leave at around 10.30 ish and the sat nav tells me it's about 90 mins away from me, so should see you around midday. :thumbup

Steve thanks for the hospitality, thank the missus for lunch too!!!
Everyone else, nice to meet you. Amb67, cheers for the tips.

Griff. I had a vision of turning up and as I got off the bike this jaffa cake munching bloke would stroll over, muttering to himself that 'just a little twiddle with this screw and notch off there judging by the sounds of it'

I wasn't far wrong!! The legend is real. It was nice to meet you mate. Thanks for all your help. I know you probably would have liked to do more, but the difference already is quite amazing!! The engine feels lighter!!! and even cornering seems to be helped just by having the engine in tune!?!? Can't wait to get them poxy screws off and get it set up to the machine. Nice to know it wasn't just me and it really wasn't quite right. Just goes to show that it's worth seeing things through. I'll have a word with the garage that serviced it before and I'll let you know what happens.

Good to meet everyone today, loads of banter which was great.
Pieman,Heroblob,JohnT let us know how your ride home went.

The mrs said you seemed like a nice bunch of blokes but then she always was a crap judge of character lol.

Griff you are a ledge mate, bike feels awesome - thanks very much.Picked up a few good tips too.

See you all again soon I hope.

ride home was great. Ride into work also great apart from the destination! The engine is spinning up so much faster, it feels lighter and the cylinders are working together instead of one dragging the other. It's only once griff tells you these things that you say 'actually thats exactly what it feels like' now i know what a vtwin should be like!
