guys i wonder if any of you groover can help me please

ive got an ambition that one day i want to own a ex GP bike hopefully something with a little history would be great but not essential.

Im prepared to sell my soul to belzibub and jany and the kids have all been told that daddy works hard for a livin so " i want toys!!"

im gonna sell split screen campers and some gorgeous hotrods that ive got to get one but i dont know where to get one from.....

any suggestions lads

RS3 would be great

but any 500 v4 four stroke engine vision of dribbling lovelyness would be great, i will do sexual favours for the person who helps find the bike with me, or just let them ride it, cos thats what were gonna do with it!

it will be loved and cherished but were gonna throw a freash set of slicks on it ride it on the road , the rozzers will have to catch me first! harsh but well worth it i reckon!

cheers in advance!

i will get something like it, one day!

hey Griff - you've obviously got waaaaaay toooo much money matey ;)

anyways the guy who used to own and run 100% trackdays managed to get hold of one of the ex-haslam NSR500 twins back in about 2001 I thinkit was so I know you can get them however I wouldn't know what he did to get it either (I can tell you that I was quicker than him through the turns on my R1 ;) ) - his name is Paul Wilson and last I heard he'd alegedly done a bunch of people out of money and effed off to spain.
There was also a guy who used to race with new era in the sound of thunder class and he had a few ex-wsb ducatis that he raced - he was bloody wealthy or his bank loan was huge but he dealt straight with the factory - so moral is I guess is try and form a relationship with one of the factorys.

I'm sure that helps about as much as a chocolate tea pot but possibly summat you can use.

danglee :thumbup

That New Era bloke was featured in one of the bike mags recently and was on the TV, he did have direct factory contacts and spent a bloody fortune on Ducatis. IIRC he was about 55 and spoke in a very posh accent.

The Kocinski and Sarron bikes have ben advertised for about a year I think. They did have a Lawson Cagiva as well, but I see that has gone. Have you thought about contacting Aprilia? I'm guessing they still have the McWilliams 500's for sale, although they came with some pretty crabby contract of sale notes.

If I had the money, the Cagiva for me everytime. A bike of total beauty, power and poise.....oh, and weighed about half a bag of sugar with 180bhp on tap. Real GP bikes! :doug Not sure whether the 93 bike was big bang or still a screamer though.

I seriously doubt you'd be able to get your hands on a RS3 Cube, but you could always send a cheeky mail to Aprilia. What have you got to lose! :devious

Good luck!

asking around for you griff....John Reynolds the motorcycle champion is a family friend so he is asking around for you :thumbup

the cheeky ones have already been sent to the factory mate.......

the last time i saw a cube it was sitting in a store room next to the technical office, blinking and squinting as i opened the door because of the light now entering the room!

wasted....but i hope retrieveable? we'll find out!

guys make no mistake, i havent got loadsa money, or big houses or flash cars, my misses goes to work long hours too, i havent got 90K for a cagiva , i was shocked by the amount invoved , but ive always wanted one and im sure it will be an investment im sure that i can ride and look eat instead of a bank book in the cupboard in the corner of the living room... it may not happen now or evenin 5 years but it will happen.....oh yes, it will happen!

cheers

Old mate of mine in Manchester owns/used to own a 1999 V&M R1 race bike with numberplate V8M TT. He "acquired" it after a friend of his got done by customs and excise for copying and selling CDs so, said friend needed some quick cash and a bike, so friend gave him some money and a 748.

Full carbon disc set-up, modified Endurance fuel tank, it was a kosher bike and a friend who was racing Milles and used to be my mechanic, said on the road he'd never really had it fast enough to justfy putting it into top gear, as it was still pulling like a train in 5th at 150mph

He may still have it.
