ooops... there goes another, by the way, lads we still have plenty more 15 tooth sprocks to shift... keep em comin..

in theory !
divide your previous top speed by 16 then multiply it by 15
but then again who buys a tuono tor top speed anyway , its all about the stompability factor innit !!
yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa !!

right then charlie done that ended up with a 10mph loss

tried to work out the 0 to 60 difference and done the following

155 top speed

145 new top speed

so 155 devided by 145 = 1.0689

so 3.5 second 0 to 60 - 1.0689 = 2.4311 new 0 to 60???

i know the speeds and times are off but am i on the right track?

**** me ive had way too much coffee

you need to get out more !!
just fit the sprocket ,ride the beast and enjoy the grin factor of the extra stomp !!

Ren, chill tae feck mucker.

You'll notice the dif but not the drop at the top end.

Jist ride yer machine, then post how big an effin grin yer cant shift fae yer dish.

Yer needin the 42 rear as weel tae mak ony real difference loon.....transforms the bike goin 15/42.....an will still hit weel ower 140 nae probs.....go oan min, git it bought!

Rico beat me to it, you need a 42 rear now. Mines goin back on soon (went to 15/40 for the Euro tour - good on motorways but a pain in town).

It reduces the top speed from a theoretical maximum of about 175, to about 165.
The bike isn't powerful enough to get near either, so it actually makes fook all difference.
If you like the effect, put a 42 tooth on the rear, still good for 160 ish in theory, but much swifter out of the corners.

RR, whit happened mucker. Did some bam wake yer fae yer hibernation. :dunno

Replacing the whole lot - chain and both sprockets. Thinking of 16/44 or 16/45 combination as advised by AF1.

"If you are replacing all three, chain & both sprockets, keep the ratio the same but go with the larger front sprocket. He said a larger front sprocket is easier on the chain and the only reason many do the 15T on the front as a modification is that the OEM chain is not long enough to go 16-44."

15-41 (ratio 2.733, what I had) is almost an exact match to 16-44 (ratio 2.75)
15-42 (ratio 2.8) is almost an exact match to 16-45 (ratio 2.8125)

Stock is 16-40 (ratio 2.5)
