had same efi flash up when i picked mine up it turns out the rev counter limit was set to low

Lovely looking bike agreat1! If the bike came from a dealer and the warning lights stay on I'd take it back and get them to sort it.

It's rained all day here, pretty heavy at times, hope you had drier weather for your ride :thumbup

bought it privte, but will take it to local dealer on tuesday.
does anyone know how to put the bike into diagnostic mode so i can check error codes before i take it down, might be able to sort it myself

weather was dry but very blustery, made it interesting at times lol

Lovely bike mate :thumbup have you read through the file vault to see if theres a manual for your model :dunno

can't see one, mine is a 2004 factory, so if anyone knows of a good manual or assistance with this prblem it would be appreciated

hi agreat1 if you look on wolfs thread "need help with efi ect" he has put up a diagram of the fault codes tryied to copy it for you but wont work ok check it out cheers. LEATHERFACE

still dosn't tel me how to get in to diag mode on 2004 rsv1000 factory

I have a link to loads of manuals but it's on my home pc. I'll have a look when i get home from work tonight if no-ones been able to help you before then :thumbup

Here's the relevant passage from the manual on how to enter diagnostic mode,

To display the diagnostics codes in question, enable diagnostics
mode by pressing the LAP button at key-ON for at
least 15 seconds. To exit the diagnostics code display and
return to the normal display mode, run a key-OFF/ON cycle.
When the faults are eliminated and hence the Fault Code is
no longer being sent to the dashboard by the ECU, the
dashboard will continue to display them until a key-OFF/ON
cycle is run.
If the dashboard is sent a code other than those given in the
following diagnostics code table, it will display PXX where
the XX is the last two digits of the code in question. If the
CAN line does not respond or is disconnected in diagnostics
mode, ERR will flash in place of the code digits.

That first line, if it's like the instructions to kill the 'service' light means hold the LAP button *before* you turn the ignition on.

Hope that helps mate :thumbup
