Whizzing along the other day - notice the dash display is flickering, almost unreadable - stop - the headlights are flickering as well! Get home pronty (motor running as normal) - switch off. Restart - motor runs OK, but no lights, dash etc. 30A main fuse blown. Check everything electrical - no problem found. Replace fuse, switch on, start up - everything normal! Weird - anyone else had this? Cheers, Andreas

Yes My fuse had blown twice, thankfully not when travelling at speed.

First time just dead when I turned the key, weeks later I started it to move it slightly while out and everything died while in 1st gear.

I am quite worried incase it happens while travelling then the engine locks up and spits me off.

Would love to know what this problem is.

If it makes you feel better, the engine wont lock up and spit you off. It may cut out and just bogg down with no power but the momentum will keep the wheels turning and then you just pull the clutch up and roll it where you want it. Similar to when i used to blow the 2 strokes up at max power. You'll be alright!!

Sounds like, in your case, it was the 'other' 30A fuse? I agree it not good to have the motor die on you - in my case the worst is that I lose the headlights (and the dash/indicators etc) - OK - provided it isn't dark!
