Hi, i am thinking of changing the gearing on my gen 1 Tuono, and i have read on here about changing to a F 16 R 44 sprockets which takes the gearing to 2.75. you can also get a R 46 sprocket which changes the gearing to 2.70 with the F 17, which is a cheaper option.
Pros and cons about just changing the rear sprocket rather than both?

You'll probably find if you go from 42 std to 46 on the rear, you'll run out of slack on the rear adjuster, hence need a longer chain. The beauty of dropping one on the front, or raising two on the back, or both, is the std length chain still works fine.
