I know why do I need a gear indicator Because I wanted one That out of the way. Just fitted a Healtech gear indicator,Gipro X, £80 easy to fit 4 wires connected into the Dash multi plug. Easy set up, almost instant gear change diplay. Delay is nothing that would concern you even if you actually notice it.
Got to be a benifit with rapid down changing and a benifit when looking for that 7th gear, our in my case just satisfying myself that I know where I am when going into those tight situations when you really need 2nd or 3rd and dropping down one 2 many creating the back wheel locking up syndrome.

Nice little toy but more of a like to have it than need to have it, I never need to know which gear I'm in personally, just go by feel and revs?

Fair enough matey, if I saw one second hand for example I'd probably snap it up as I like gadgets :)

you must listen to your bike ! feel the force!:devious

Griff is coming up to Morecambe in May to service Dave,s aka Kawasakinnit bike so he,s gonna fit a gear indicator too on my bike,,,,
Had em on most my bikes and for the cost a good buy especialy on the motorway,,, :thumbup

Interesting,I will be in Morecambe from the 20th April but not sure I will need a service by then, shame that although if he has time I would like him to have a look over the bike, Is he going to yours ? let me know if he is not fully booked may be worth getting the suspension set up ? Ps, been out on the bike today Dont care what anybody else says the gear indicator is a fantastic aid, allowing you to concentrate more on riding, I have been riding 40 years now and fully understand feeling the force and listening to the revs etc etc but to have this cheap easy facility WHY NOT. looking forward to a few pints with you guys, going to the NW 200 with my brother in May so hope it does not clash with that. Ken Ride safe :thumbup
