I fitted a 16T front sprocket this week, which if i'm honest, totally transformed the ride and made it a much more commuter friendly thing and a tad more exciting to ride, But...
My mate acquired a pair of these (one for my T and one for his RSV-R) for a reasonable 120 Euro's from the main man himself and they arrived in 4 days :thumbup
So, I nailed it into the ECU this morning, set the trim pots and bleeds and went for a hoon (when i've got time i'll set it up properly with a gas analyser).
I've had my car mapped at least 25+ times and have gotten used to what to expect from this kind of thing. What I didn't expect was the results from just fitting a chip!
**** me sideways!, it's turned the T into some sort of crazy ******* pyschopathic killer ******, which is nice :yes
I know plenty of you guys have had these fitted and know the results, but here's my first impressions anyways..
Pro's
1. No labouring of the engine in any gear
2. Vastly improved throttle response, just a slight touch and it's off like a stabbed rat
3. Wheelies for fun in 1st & 2nd
4. So So smooth throughout the rev range
5. Flat spot at 4/5K gone
6. Can actually use 6th gear below a ton now
7. I've virtually eliminated any front tyre wear
Con's
1. I think I soiled myself* when the rear wheel span up in 3rd today and the bike nearly swapped ends!
2. I was going to mention MPG, but who gives a **** about that.
3. Need to be very aware of just whacking back the throttle now
4. Errrm, can't think of anything else
Bit of a pointless post, but I thought i'd share.
PS
* On closer inspection of my undercrackers, I did in fact soil myself! Possibly through the sheer terror or the sheer enjoyment of my new found power or maybe a combination of both, i'm not sure.
Either or, it's the best £50 i've spent on the T.
