hi all Newbe here

Just bought a Mille and what a machine i love it.

only 2 things are bothering me at the min

1) noisy clutch in neautral not holding lever

2) brake caliper Metal dust covers rattling is this a common thing ??

its a 1999 Mille with 38000 on the clock and apart from the 2 things above its practically as it came out of the showroom. and only paid £1700 for it

also what kind of top end should i be getting as only got to 149 and it struggled from about 130 although rapid to there

149 mph is normal if you have changed gearing.
i have no noise from clutch on neutral
what do you mean by dust covers?

Clutch noise could just be an oil change needed.
Take out the brake pads and clean them then apply copper grease to the backs.
Top speed..should be easily 160 but check the gearing / sprockets....usual is 17/40 but some drop this to 16/42 or so which stunts the top speed in favour of a more useful road speed an acceleration.
Check the ecu and throttle bodies in case someone has fitted a dodgy chip or fiddled with the trim pots...took me a few months to sort the setup on my old Tuono and it was ballistic to 140 but geared 16/43 so top end was only going to be 150ish max.

Also .. any kind of warranty with the bike....30 days is quite normal so if its bugging you ask them to check it out.
