Fuel pump

I've almost finished rebuilding my bike since being knocked off, just have to fit a new tank rather than get the original resprayed.
So a quick question to pre empt any problems.

I've sourced a tank complete with the fuel pump still fitted. When I take the old tank off, will the new pump need bleeding, or will it self bleed. Bikes running fine at the moment, so I just wanted to find if there was anything to look out for when changing the old tank.

Pretty sure it will sort it's self out..I have drained tanks etc and never had a problem? What year bike..metal or plastic tank

just turn the ignition on and off a few times to get the fuel through.

thats it buddy , you wont have anmy problems , just turn it on-off a few times this will prime the system automatically!
