Fuel pump bolts dilemma

Just removed the fuel pump from my 2002 millie to fit upgraded fuel pipes to the pump, however when I was bolting the pump onto the tank again, 2 of the bolts wouldn't align with their bolt holes. Obviously the tank (being plastic) is the problem. Any one got an idea on how to get round this one?

Tank warps due to ethanol in the fuel
Leave it empty in a warm place for a while and they revert back to normal shape.
I kept mine in the dinning room for a few weeks.
Apworkshops have a video on this on YouTube... Worth a watch.

Thanks for the tip Felix.
I'll do that. Hard to believe ethanol is such brutal stuff for a plastic tank.

You probably have it 90° out of rotation it’s not exactly right. It won’t fit.
