I got two brown coloured rubber pipes from the tank leading down the right side of engine into bellypan and one of them is leaking one drop of fuel about every ten seconds.Anyone got any suggestions ?.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. It would help if you told us what year your bike is.
Maybe introduce yourself properly first?
Anyway, its probably one of the pipes that pass through the tank has gone brittle and fractued.

Sorry, the bike is a 1999 Mille and only just got it, while I am a 1951 grumpy old git who forgot his manners after nearly blowing himself and the garage up today trying to sort the fuel leak. I take it that I could temporarily plug the offending pipe where it emerges from the fuel tank. When I blow up the pipe then air comes out of one of the overflow holes in the filler area and when I block this off and blow again then I hear noise from within the tank.My other bike is a 2003 Ducati Multistrada as I like Italian Vtwin Stallions.

One pipe is for the drain hole next to the filler and the other is the tank breather which passes through the filler cap.
You wont want to block the breather :no
You could just block the drain off where it comes out the bottom of the tank but if thats broken then you risk getting water in the tank if your bike gets wet.
Youre going to have to drain the petrol and take the tank off then take the pump assembly out and look inside to see the pipes.
The replacement pipes will have to be submersible fuel hose.
I dont know if this is the correct size but you get the idea - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8MM-HIGH-PRESSURE-TANK-SUBMERSIBLE-FUEL-HOSE-PIPE-/150687784469?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2315b11e15

I humbly apologise if im teaching my grandad to suck eggs :hail

Hi D Campbell,
I am experiencing the same issue on my rsv mille 2000 metal tank, although my fuel is flowing more like a tap.
It seems ok untill i get to around and over about quarter of a tank.
did you manage to fix yours and if so any advice for a fellow rider
