Hi all, went out this morning for a little whizz about with a mate on his mk1 Fazer. Helmsley for a cuppa then on to Scarboro for breakfast. home via Whitby and across the moors. Got to Middlesbrough and noticed the fuel light was on! Can`t say when it actually came on as too busy concertrating on the road ahead. I filled the tank when we set off and I would guesstimate we covered about 100-115miles. (must read the book and find out how to zero the trip!!) is this about right? what do the rest of you get to a tank? mind you it was brilliant fun!!:thumbup :yes.

Many many many threads and comments about mpg on here Shaun min ... everybody gets about 230 miles to the tank.

ONLY KIDDING!

Its about 95 - 110.

If I may:

The 2 select trips; can be zeroed out by placing each one in position, reach around to the mode button and hold till it clears. Push trip B up. Hold the rubber mode button again. I believe the left switch may run from '06 to '09 for those year T's. This should work in this sequence for these models. That is all I know for said years.

All I can tell you about the fuel light and mileage; if I am running another map, the fuel light comes on sooner using the same test loop(s). I make too many changes during runs to be consistent. Not much help on that one, sorry. Not too many gas stations where I test. I have to turn around before the tank dries or I walk it home.

thanks guys, will carry out more research of my own on this matter, purely in the name of science you understand. Will sort the trip thingy out and monitor the fuel usage accordingly, while thoroughly enjoying the v-twin experience! That was only my second "proper" ride out on the Tuono and I`ve got to say I`m really getting used to the grunt and instant thrust of the motor. Yahoo!!!

If not being too hard seem to get around 240klm's (150miles) before the little lighty comes on.

100 miles then light comes on .got 110 but that wes when i was behind a 125 so was prity slow worst 75 b4 light came on that was fun and fast :))

75-100 for the wee orange light to come on. Suppose a lot depends on how stappit (full) the tank is. Also i aint exactly light and am challenged in the aerodynamic department too.

240 k's I'm talking about mainly highway (motorway) running so constant speed most of the time with the usual overtaking. In the mountains that's a different story all together.
