Fuel cap probs

Afternoon All

Out for a blat over the weekend, filled up with juice.
pulled away from garage gave it some Sausage and fuel started to leak out of the fuel cap
i stopped, opened the cap and re closed it, pulled away again and the same.

I thinks maybee i over filled it so at the next fill up i left quite a gap and the same thing happened.

Can the rubber washer on the cap fail/go hard/perrish and if so is it avaialble as a spare part coz it dont seem to be listed on the microfiche

Thanks for that, my bike does the same thing when I fill it up. Ok another fix to do! Just did the brown wire connector fix/removal thing at the weekend. http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?246997-Question-brown-wire-connector

I had a similar problem on a RSVR tank had been resparyed & the filler cap must have been taken off & was omitted when refitted. The rubber skirt / washer was availabke from dealers which obviously cured the problem.About 12 quid if I remember correctly.
