Hi guys
New to the forum but love it. I've had my 02 milie for 3 years and apart from sticking a scorpion artilery piece on it havent done out at it. Was wondering what best mods are to freshen her up and wheres best to start, didn't want to throw my hard earned cash at the wrong mod, I only ride her on the road, haven't gone near tracks yet.
Any help much appriciated, cheers

Map2 (free!!! if not already been snipped)
K&N air filter £25
Air box mod (a few quid)
DR Rossi chip (POA)
Larger throttle bodies (EBAY?)
for starters

Get suspension serviced or if it's all ok, a set up by a pro...

Quite a lot of the common mods are for realiblity and to stop starting issue's, check out the winter mods thread, plenty of info there

As above really..airbox,chip,modded header good combination plus a gearing change 16/44

Alright lads, right, the airbox has had restrict removed, k&n fitted and has being well sealed to bottom of tank, wire being trimmed under seat, bikes now got 16/44 gearing and dr Rossi chip just arrived in post today, CANNOT WAIT to ride the beast when this snow melts, bet she'll growl now, nxt step is suspension setup, I love my Millie again and was expecting all spanner work to b a night mare with it being italian, complete opposite n being a complete joy to work on, thanks 4 all advice guys, can't wait to let u all know how she rides! :devious

Great work mate, need to do a few of those mods myself!!

Seems very addictive this modding business mate, think I've defiantly found my winter hobbie every year

Yes definetly, bloody expensive hobby to!! Lol

Was the Chip expensive? Can You just fit it straight in or do You need to set anything up or buy anything else to go with it?

Also what Airbox mod did You do?

I lifted tank up and removed top of airbox, chucked standard air filter, under air filter there's a restriction plate fitted which is accessed by lifting airbox lower and undoing a screw holding it in, I got a door seal from a Peugeot 406 from my local scrap yard and cut it to fit all way around airbox lower, made sure it sealed using Vaseline n dropping tank to make sure marks all way around, popped 25 quid k&n filter in and re-cut airbox top to fit perfectly over top of filter to hold it in place, I got my information from a thread on this site when I searched open airbox, also made sure all glue from fire foam under tank all well cleaned off

The chip was 75 quid n u fit straight swap with original, its made for filter and exhust mod to get most out of it, dont think u have to do full airbox mod, could just remove restrictor and drop k&n filter straight in but think from what folk say its worth opening up, as long as u get a good seal,dr Rossi sends fitting instructions n there spot on n very easy to follow, think every1 on here swears by these chips mate so was only choice for me:biggrin

Cool mate thanks a lot for the info :thumbup

Keep moddin :cheers

One of the best mods i have done is getting a set of rearsets that get rid of that stupid reversed gear lever.
Much better positive shifts now and solid mount pegs feel so much better

Cheers mate, u guys realise ur all responsible for my mrs killing me 4 blowing all my wonga on the Millie, Neva rode a bike with aftermarket rear sets, only Eva read good things about them tho, so suspension setup and possible rear sets next on list then, :doug

Heres a pic. Proper linkage less false neutrals.
