Afternoon all,
Not being afraid to undertake any form of mechanical works, having built two kitcars and rebuilt my Yamaha Vmax, I have never split an old chain and fitted a new. Now whilst I understand the process, I am hesitant that this is one component that you don't want to fail especially at speed!!!!
I have a 2006 silver and black tuono 1000r, I want to retain the 15-42 set up, thinking a gold or should it stay silver chain??? and ditto with new rear sprocket......
The question is .....should I do the work myself or get the MOT station to do it when I take her in....(Aprillia service centre)
and what chain do you all recommend.
Thanks.
J
