First ride

When I got my T last year, the previous owner had the redline set at 6K, yet I never hit it. But just before taking it to a Track Day, I bumped it up to 8K and kept seeing this flashing light while there. Was wondering what that was....

I think they are set to 8.5k for running in (600 miles) and then whatever you like. I upped mine to 11.5k after a couple of thousand miles, as I like to let a new engine loosen up a bit over time. I used to get the warning lights a few times when at 8.5k but I've not been anywhere near 11.5k on the road.

You'd be doing insane speeds, probably even be in front of Brooksy :lol, at that level unless you rode everywhere in first gear of course.

Na, you have to bounce it off the limiter regularly to stop it choking up, it's what they're designed and built for.

Remember dudes it's only a wee red light that comes on when yer exceed YOUR set limit, the limiter kicks in when yer actually hit the ECU's limit (which yer cannae adjist unless yer god).

Nice vid mucker, slow and steady until yer ready.

Thanks for all the comments. Running it in steady away. I'm not the fastest in the world and I get called team tea and biscuits :)
Seen too many accidents and lost a few friends. I'd like to live long enough to have to buy a step through cos I cant get my leg
over a saddle. Does take me a while to get used to a bike, it was a good two months till a felt happy throwing my bandit about.
