First venture out since November. Gentle 70mile round trip to Braintree and back. Roads where very greasy off line and some of the roundabouts were a bit slick. Quick bath once we got home to wash all the grud off, now looks like a new pin again. Didn't mind riding nice and sedate, it was just a joy to play wonderful music on the ackras. :thumbup

since november...you soft wet :p :lol

i have been out over winter got in car checked temp 2.5degrees :D warm enough for me and milly :doug :doug love cold weather riding...always makes you think how much more it will hurt if you come off :lol

Yeah, I reckon that if I'd fell off the other day all they would have found was me in three billion pieces.

It was so cold I would have shattered.

Riding in the cold is unlike any other experience, that rush of cold air up your nostrils and around the back of your neck - Hmmm makes we want to lock the kids in a cupboard (I'm babysitting) and drag the bike out of the shed.

Which part of Essex I am in Essex but down the bottom and the roads have still got to much salt around for me its like slime:dunno:doug:dunno:puke

Took the bike to work yesterday as weather was supposed to be dry & approx 8-10 degrees. Temperature was right, but the persistent drizzle/rain wasn't too good, re-ignited the remaining salt on the roads & made the diesel seem positively grippy! However, really enjoyed blatting about, did about 70 miles, got home washed the worst off & put the bike to bed....Unfortunately had to make a bit of a run for home as realised at 4:45 that I only had a dark visor with me!!!Oops!

Mick i'm not far from you, I'm on the island. salt was definitely on the slimy side. punishing if you got of line. just enjoyed listening to the music. Then spent an hour washing salt off it.

lol My last ride was in the rain two days ago in the rain without a clutch! And you should have seen the peoples face in that truck next to me when I poped a wheelie at the lights when I shifted to first gear without a clutch! lol muhahaha it was like pop lock and drop it, literally! lol It's an art to take off with a big motor like this one without any clutch at all anyway I pushed the bikes after those evil lights after draining my battery and then pushed it almost 2 miles until I found a hill and I made it home! lol what an adventure it was!!!! I think my slave seal is okay but the master seal from the resorvoir is messed up. I just cannot think about living without riding my bike. I love my Ape I always wanted to have this bike since I was a kid who had the oldest bicycle but the toughest in the block! :) So folks please ride your darn APE and don't complain about small problems and fix them and caress your Mechanical Steed before you take her for a ride! Don't make me come down there and burn your rubber and pop a wheelie without clutch during an official Italian Aircraft take off! lol

We must need the Essex meet up I am Stanford-le-hope:thumbup:thumbup:biggrin:biggrin
