very nice m8 those exhausts look stunning, puts the VFR to shame a bit ;)

Lol dont tell my mate that. He is saving for a zx7r anyways ;)

Yeh they sound pretty good too. They dont sit quite level with the pillion hanges on tho, which is annoying as have to have em on so I can take my little lady on the back ;) It came with nice carbon hangers like in the first two pics.

Cheers dude

Picture 4, been looking for a set of chairs like that white one for ages, any chance you got a link to the supplier Steve:thumbup

Hope your mate likes bad backs!

Whys that then bomb?

Badger that is actually one of those clever perception paintings mate. Took ages, painting abit on the house behind etc, only works from that exact angle, but glad you spotted it :thumbup

My mates got a zx7r and has tried everything to stop it from giving him a bad back. They are well known for a 'different' riding position that doesn't suit anyone. There is a lot on t'net explaining how to raise the bars etc but none of it is easy. Having said this, he has put up with it for 10 years and it is still a lovely looking bike....

Bomb - My mate is a lanky *******. When I had the R1 and he came pillion he would hold on my reaching past me and holding under the front of the tank. His lid would never touch or knock mine and he was perfectly comfy like that, so I reckon it will fit him nicely ;)

badger - Isnt it just :D Its slowly coming together too. Brakes still dont have the consistancy and progressivness I`m after though, wouldnt take it on track as is, except in the inters as would loose so much time on the brakes (couldnt trail brake with them properly as is..) But the gearing is good for now, and the clutch is now nice and light, infact now it is only the brakes to sort! Then im going renagade airbox, with power commander and a full set up at griffs ;)

Dunno, they just aren`t consistant. loads better since I free`d up the bobbins, but I`m thinkin the time they`v spent with seized bobbins may have warped the disc? As you pull to a stop they lunge a bit and braking hard from more than 70 you can feel the slight fast pulse, but then if its from more than a ton it takes faith they are gonna stop me. They lack inital bite too.

All I can think is to clean the discs, bobbins and pads again :dunno

I would start with new fluid and well bled lines, then get the calipers off and makes sure all pistons are free and moving smoothly.

Check the pads are good and rough up the surface on a bit of wet dry on a good level surface.

Tape a pencil to the fork leg and get the front wheel of the ground, set the pencil so the lead point is just touching the face of the disc, spin the wheel and see if there is any discrepancy in the distance the pencil lead is from the disc surface.

Are your discs really clean after using the WD40, and are the pads contaminated?

It may be discs, but do these things before splashing out on discs.

I was thinkin of doing this but will the disc always sit straight on the bobbins?
I cleaned them up best they could but havent been able to get the calipers off yet for a proper overhaul. Got a full allen set but none of them fit the bolts! What size they supposed to be?

Disc may float slightly from side to side when on the move i reckon, but at a standstill it should centre.

Did you buy a metric set I.E. in mm or did you buy a set in newton metres I.E. in nm:pirate

They should be 8mm

Badger - I dont know mate, I labelled them myself with alphabet spaghetti! But still I dont think my set came with the size for some reason. Well I`ll give it a try tomorrow, If I can find an allen to fit!

Phil - Really? well mines an 02 aswel so guess they should be the same! We`ll see..

bye the way that bike looks awesome... i'm all sloppy and soppy about my yellow un but I could definitely be persuaded to have a haga..

my'n are 7mm... just checked

Cheers Phil mate :thumbup
My original plan was to get a taty one to cain around until mid next summer then get an 04-06 R1. But when I test rode a mille, it was such a laugh I just fell in love with it and had to have a nice one, saw this and had to have it!! Got a van load of spares with it too :thumbup
