Have fun on the run out?. Mate from work has an R1 pretty much identical to that blue one.
I would have nipped out for a blat this afternoon, but I had to sit indoors and work on a website. As well as that, I was still hungover from last night....lol!!!
Popped out this afternoon in the car to nip into the fire station to check a few things and a shedload of bikes passed me. Great day for a run out!!

cheers mate,yeah,it was blumin luvly to get out on her,this time last week i was on a drip in the hospital,so i would have enjoyed it even if it had snowed (thatll be 2morrow no doubt).my mate with the black leathers owns the blue r1,he's mental/fast as fook,the grey r1 is my brothers(red leathers) and that r1 is nearly at superstock level,192bhp at the engine,had alot of work done on it,its fookin mental to ride!!

i certainly can,as said,he rides like he's constantly in a round at bsb,and im afraid its a case of "sorry officer,it must av broke/fell off ect"

his last un was covered in grease then dirt was added in a select way so as to cover certain parts of it.can you believe he's never been pulled once for it?? and we had a cop car following us on the way home today ffs.

So be it on his head be it i guess,brave man The thing is a very good mate of mine runs the AVNPRS thing in northampton and he has told me what all the police forces do across the country is if they have persistant offenders like bikes for example setting off forward facing camera's they just keep the photo's in the patrol cars and look out for them they know what area they come from so they will find them

I dunno how folk get away with stuff like that!!
The guy I mentioned that owns an identical R1 usually carries his number plate in his jacket pocket. It's one of those thin long ones, really tiny.
When he gets stopped, he just says "Oh aye, it fell off about 10 miles ago, I'm just off home to fix it".
Works every time, or it has so far!! :dunno

i had a marsbar sized one on velcro on my last r1,but got pulled for speeding at matlock bath (i was only doing 34mph by the time they eventualy caught up with me lol) and they sat me in the volvo and went to write my reg on the ticket.the cop came back to the car with my plate in his hand lol.
he let me off with my akra race can and plate,just a ticket to swap em back,but did me for the 4mph over the limit.
if my mate gets caught and fookd,he cant complain,you pay ya money and take your chances in life.
but he gets less hassle than someone with a smaller plate on!!

hahaha the number plate trick, sounds like some of my old m8s.. i must admit im not always on best behaviour but i dont go that far, though i did deliberately swear at and make a copper chase me at 1am when i didnt have an exhaust on, i was bored and felt like a challenge xD i out ran him on a 50cc and it was one of the motorway cops lol, my old m8s were a lot worse tho, including regular front facing speed camera pranks
glad you are getting back on the bike so soon big un! i hope you are takin it easy tho i knew a guy with similar back problem and he had been gettin by for years.. until he toppled his bike in gravel at 10mph and then he couldnt even walk for 6 months he was well devestated as u can imagine so dont go lettin that happen to you!!
i do kinda like the sharp styling on those r1s but your mille still looks awesome and that blue flame suits it im stuck with stock exhausts on mine but hoping to get blue flames eventually

theyre nice but havent got the character/sound/looks of the mille imo.
ive always wanted an rsv or sp-1,sp-1's are to small for me and only do 20miles to a full tank and i dont like the snatchy fuel injection on them,so mille it was.deffo not dissapointed.

Thats freaking genius you could seriously get away with that and the bike looks soo much better with out a plate on the back! now im not going to do it myself but ya gotta give him his dews thats a class idea,
Big Unit that bike is looking smart now mucker just need to get a hump and all will be well, do you ever carry a pillion passenger bud? the reason i ask is im slowly winding my missus down to getting on the back but as im also a big youth im just wondering if she will be able to see past me :laugh not going to be much fun for the poor bird if all shes sees is my back
yeah mate,if i go out saturday with the lads,then i take her indoors on sunday to keep her interested and quiet,helps with buying bits as well lol.
she dont see much anyway,as im 6'2 and 9' wide and shes only 5'3,but she loves it on the back and is an excellent pilion,only weighing 8st and ive learnt her all about not fidgeting and leaning into he corners ect,i dont eve notice she's onboard tbh.
