Right gonna go back to my Falco engine in my RSV, seeing how my RSV replacement engine is kinda dead.

Just wondering more out of boredom really what the tech differences are between the two engine?

Reverse gear shift pattern and I think maybe softer cams or slightly differant gear ratios ....but then I could bee wrong about the last two.

Yep, That's the main reason I won't mind going back to the Falco engine, cannot get used to the road pattern gear shift again.

Not sure how true but I am sure I recall reading if you put the Mille gears on the falco it gives you race gearing

different limit to max throttle body size I think and again I think the falco was the base used for the tuono

Yeah, If you put the standard Mille gear change lever on a Falco you get race shift, Falco has a link rod type gear change.
Anyone know why they did that to the Falco?

you can run it with rossi gabro and forza so dont see why not depends on what the map / settings are for how it may run though... essentially a chip is just that yes before somoene tells me there are differences but essentially if it fits it is more about whats on it as to how it will perform ... at least thats what I finks mista ;)

Cool.
Thanks for the info.
Just wasn't sure if the differences of a Falco engine would affect the chip, or is it the other way around? I dunno.....

In what may be seen as a plug but is more a bid for fairness Forza aprilia ed Elliot will have one too :) that said in my humble understanding as long as the chip is physically suited to the board then it is a case of just getting what's written (the map) to suit your set up. The map is basically a set of instructions. These "tune" the engines performance. Again basically it tells the engine how to behave as in whether to adjust fuelling and timing Etc. this is basically what you do when you destruct by cutting the cable it makes the chip default to a secondary set of instructions that were not as emissions friendly.

So that said you tell whoever you get your chip from what you got and they send you the chip with the instructions to match written on it. I am going to test a Forza aprilia falco one in a fortnight and have just tried a dr Rossi and will try a gabro too. Whichever one from what I've seen they are all extra fun :) HTH
