Out today filtering through traffic, my 2 mates get a 50m in front of me and im stuck behide a ppl carrier doing 20mph, road clears in front, pull ot to overtake get alongside the car n this **** swerves across the white line to stop me getting past & slams into the side of the bike, i run along the lenth of the car, bar end burried into the bodywork, take the wing mirror off n just manage to stay on..he pulls over but wont stop, im in front of him gesturing for him to pull over, he pulls over in a place i carnt, i get stopped by some trafic lights by the time i swing around the **** had gone..:rant..

He's snapped the indicator off, scratched the mid panel, only good thing is the bar end looks like i took a grinder to it and it coverd in silver paint, should have made a nice scrap down the car...reported to the police, not a lot they can do..

Just be carfull out there guys, some ppl are f-ing clowns..

Glad you're OK mate.

Plenty of knobs around in people carriers, LOL my missus being one of them. :doug

Had a pepole carrier once got fed up knocking bikers over so sold it!!!
only kidding please no death threats.
good to hear you're ok and bike not injured to bad either:thumbup

please can i have my wing mirror back ?

only messin mate good your ok and it sounds like he got the rough end of the deal damage wise . what a prick big and brave in a tin box eh

seem to be more n more of this anti bike crap going on...as soon as we put a helmet on we become public enemy #1..:dunno

Thers a tv add telling cars to look out for bikes..screw that..should be the other way around, should be bikers looking out for cars, we pay far more attention to the road, carnt use mobile phones or fiddle with radios or sat nav..

lol...anyone else want my soapbox!!

We have all had things happen to us by ****** car drivers who consider us as a target and do not care inside there tin boxes but think we are all holigans once on a bike..

Had the same kind thing last month!! Travelling along the M8 to work on the Triple (just before selling it) and filtering through the middle of the 2nd and 3rd lanes as there was a lot of static traffic (always is at Junction 3 for Livingston) All of a sudden this p*ick moves from the 3rd lane tight to the car next to him in lane 2, blocking me and just sat there! A truck driver, on my left in lane 2 "honked" his horn at the guy (i looked up at him and he just shook his head at the p*ick as did I!) I then beeped my horn only to get the finger out the window!! This caused my to turn a very bright RED inside my helmet and so put the side stand down, walked over to his door and tapped the window! He nearly **** himself as didn't even see me walking to his car! (paying loads of attention eh, :jack) He quickly put the "snib" of his door lock down and put his window up to only an inch open, f*cking big tough guy now eh!! I asked him, politely, what the f*ck his problem was, to be told......wait for it........IF I'M SITTING HERE IN TRAFFIC THEN SO ARE YOU!!! This caused me some anger and i "asked" him to move his car or i will simply ride down the side of it, scratching it to f*ck! He then shut his window on me........now this REALLY got my back up! So, i walked back to the bike, looked up at the truck driver who said "take his f*cking mirror off!" He rides a Hayabusa! SO I DID, THE DRIVERS SIDE!! I had to roll the bike back, spin round the back of his car and ride between the central barrier and p*ick face's car, as i did lifted my left boot and soundly kicked his (hopefully expensive to repair Honda) mirror off...........P*ICK......:thumbup

i don't condone this normally as it does nothing for our reputation but this **** hates us anyway and will no doubt do the same thing again, or at least WOULD have........hopefully now he'll think about it!!! what a :jack:jack:jack

I've had a tw#t swerve at me head on, i presume he thought i was going too fast and wanted to slow me down.
F#@king nob nearly put me off the road, turned round caught him up and it was his turn to sh#t himself. doubt he'll do it again

UP DATE

Guy has reported me to the police for failing to stop..wtf..and ramming his car..:jack

Aparently i overtook him at speed and deliberatly rammed in to the side of his car..:confused

As we all know bikes are a great way of ramming other vehicles off the road...prick

now in the hands of the insurance companies, gona love my day in court with this nob

Fight fire with fire mate, get yourself a solicitor and get them to write you a good letter to the owner stating you're going to take out a private prosecution for his actions and consequential damage to your motorcycle.

Your insurance may even cover this legal action, worth giving them a call.

I have nothing to help with your insurance think amb67 has given you another solution, but a short story of my own. Upon traveling back from a dealership with new tires on, on my way home I see a bike and a guy laying on the ground, so in disbelieve I look in my mirror (bloody hard to do) to confirm, I did.., I did se a motorcycle with the rider next to it on mother earth, so I turned around and helped the guy get his bike back up and waited with him till emergency services arrived, this happend again last week another accident on my way home the same story but what is really f@cked up is that while I am busy helping the guy the motorist or box driver slow down have a good look and then carry on.. come on guys where is the f#@king humanity in that......

Sorry to hear about your 'contact' on the roads....there does appear to be alot of 'road rage' out there in the form of people trying to dictate traffic flow with their vehicles...seen it time & time again when filtering....love it though when someone pulls over to try & block filtering & you just nip round the back of them & down the other side.....BUT such people don't appear to realise how dangerous their actions potentially could be!

About a year ago I stopped to help a motorcyclist who fell off and the fooker only went and claimed off my insurance saying I was at fault!!

Last time I'll stop for anyone as I had to pay £150 excess and I wasn't even involved in a collision or accident in any way.

That's why people look and don't stop!!

Sad but true

I had to learn first aid as a youth worker, but if it was ever needed in the real world, i would walk the other way.

Its not a case of humanity, its a case of the ****** taking out a prosecution against me for possibly doing something wrong. Might seem cold, buts that the society we live in today, and at the end of the day, you gotta look after your own ***, as no other ****** is gonna do it for you.

I understand the sentiment in what you're saying but I have to strongly disagree. We can't view society as some abstract concept that we don't belong too and therefore can apply blame. WE ARE SOCIETY If we don't do the right thing that's how society turns to crap. We hide behind this threat of being sued and I appreciate there are exceptions but I still have enough faith in the British judicial to quash any such claim.

I will always stop. Not because of some divine god bothering, tree hugging, socialistic concept, but simply because if I was lying by the side of the road I sure as hell would expect people to stop for me.

Incidently...... I was riding along the A34 last night traffic backed up for miles and moving at 30- mph. Cut through the swathe of drivers with numerous drivers making concerted efforts to let me by. There are nice people out there it's just the tiny % that keep you on you're toes.

I fully understand what you say but I'll never stop to help, once bitten twice shy mate!

That tosser on the bike cost me money and if I see him again he'll need more than a ******* helping hand to pick him up off the road! :angry

The balls of someone to do that when a passer by is trying to help you deserves no mercy in my books and if we meet again he'll wish he hadn't.

Rant over, I'm off to the pub! :eatcorn
