I'm new on this forum and happy to say I finally bought my first Tuono '04 (european model with black frame, completely stock). Bike is from first owner like brand new and I want to make small changes like another exhaust with chip. I have KN air filter but I just don't know what is best pipe&chip combo. I'm not interested in Akras because I just don't have that kind of money. I found out on AF1 site original Aprilia Titanio exhaust with original chip or instead of original I can get Arrow chip for that same pipe. Person called Ed was very helpful with his advice (thanks Ed) and price is ok. I also found MIVV GP exhaust (or STORM which is MIVV for lower price) but I can't find out what would be right chip for MIVV. If anyone knows anything about MIVV and right chip combo please tell me. I like to ride a bit agressive on the road. My last three bikes were ZX12R, GSXR 1000 and Cagiva Raptor 1000. Cagiva was attempt to return to naked bikes and bike is awesome but has too low seat for me so I finally bought Tuono '04 (racing brakes, racing frame, racing engine, racing suspension and flat bars instead everything detuned) which I intent to keep for long time. Gen 1 is better for me then Gen 2 so this pipe&chip combo is important to me. To cut long story short I'm open for all advices. Thanks and don't hold against me if this was too long intro! 20140116_124458.jpg20140116_124421.jpg20140116_124429.jpg

You could go back on the AF1 site and send a pm to Gabro. He is a very clever fella that produces chips to order.Tell him what you have got and he should be able to supply a chip to suit.

Thanks for advice. I'll try to do that.

Ok. I talked to Gabro and did what he proposed to me. First I did collector mode (with two bypass pipes), I have K&N filter and now I wait for Leo Vince (new) or Akrap (completely renewed) to arrive (buying whatever comes first) so I can pm Gabro for chip and that is it. Good advice mate to talk to Gabro. Man knows his stuff.

Thanks man. I bought it from first owner, gentleman who is 50+ years old and so big perfecionist even I could not beleive it. During winters he lifted T and put it inside the house on the first floor so it could be in the warm temperature. Believe me if I could do it I would, but he beat me to it. Ex owner is great guy who gave me even spare parts he bought few years ago in case he ever get crashed (complete front fairing, clocks etc... everything packed and never opened in original aprilia packaging) and luckilly he never did. He also gave me two batteries, two stands, two rain suits, two pairs of saddle bags, two tank bags and so on. Everything original Aprilia stuff so you get the picture. He even gave me original aprilia service books because he always did go to authorized aprilia dealer for servicing (always the same, older and perfecionist mechanic who is very known in Croatia for being expert for Aprilia). Tuono was like his personal God I think. What can I say except my long search payed at the end for me. We even stayed good friends and I promised him he can take it for a tour whenever he wants. That is how much I trust that gentleman. All in all I finished like very happy new owner of almost brand new Tuono (even if it is almost 10 years old and has real 30000 km on the clocks). Anyway thanks for compliment!

you can see exhaust and collector mode in the upper photos and now Gabro F255

WP_20150721_17_44_07_Pro_1[1].jpg and yellow one was before F255

then I have air intake from '98 Mille (lower on the picture without restrictor) instead original Tuono with restrictor (upper on the picture)

Oh yeah... I did also install this switch because of F255 but I just didn't take picture of it after instalation and I didn't take pic of K&N filter inside

I also had factory 17/42 gearing then switched to 16/42 because of twitching under 4000 rpm (thanks Gabro for advice on 16 front sprocket) and ended currently on 16/44. Now it goes very good with all things done but I think chain will go away much sooner then I planed. I just thrash it more on 16/44 then I did on factory setting or 16/42. Considering everything I would say for me 16/42 is smartest choice (best for long distance riding and city) but for putting smile on my face all the time 16/44 is the one. Well, that is it for my bike until I get money for OZ wheels, 2-2 (it doesn't have to be Akrapović) exhaust and big bore kit. Considering big bore kit what is your opinion... 1067 or 1103 or 1127 and why?
