Just purchased a lovey RSV Titanium Evo racing exhaust for my year 2000 RSV, and it came with a eprom chip. The can is marked "Racing" and "Aprilia"
The instruction manual state that there re three kinds of eprom chip, one for 1999/2000, one for 2001 and one for USA 99/01. The manual also warns that runnin the can without the chip coul;d seriuosly damage the engine.
The chip I have has printed on it "Model 2001". What were the differences between the 2000 model and 2001 model? If I use the 2001 chip in my 2000 bike, will I do some damage? The can is great looking, but will have to find another one if this won'tsuit my bike.
