Exhaust advice

But the factory is in China they only distribute them in Hanley.:nana
2 reasons why I wouldn't buy a delkevic exhaust they are owned by D&k and the other one is they are owned by D&K :jack

But if your coming up to Stoke your welcome to call in an have a brew

Nah, Stoke on flipping Trent mate. :roll

Sorry Andi but just got all my parts from Gianelli in Italy and the zorsts are looking brand new again. :doug

I would swap them for an Akra 2 - 2 set up but I'm in the process of making my own one of them too. :devious

As you can see I've been a busy boy.

Sounds interesting bud!! Keep up posted!!

Check out the Delkevic shops on Ebay, some serious bargains to be had there. :thumbup

Delkevic are excellent exhausts and are all hand assembled in the UK.

Yes, hand assembled by Chinese-Mexicans :biggrin

I have to agree with Nick, Delkevic are cheap and cheerful but it's a free market and we all make our own choices. D&K in my experiences are simply appalling.

I got a Delkevic titanium stubby. Nice sound and with removable baffle and link pipe. Used for a year but now fitting homemade stubby carbon can. Yours for £75 delivered.

Andirsv, I love the sound of your garage mate. Sounds like a proper man cave ! I bought a steering damper today so the slip on will have to wait a week or so to slip under the wifes radar but I am on a budget so anything I can get for a hundred quid or so will be doing me for now. If you've anything knocking about you want to out let me know, cheers.

I've got a Micron Slip on, BS stamped that will pass MOT, but is noisy enough, that you can have for that price - I even work in Kent (just) so delivery may/not be a problem?

See for sale - the Ti can has been sold:

That's interesting cause the impression they give out is that they make them on site here in the UK.

Lying barstewards but hey £120 for a slash cut Moto GP pipe is cheap in my books and if I turn up and it's ***** I simply won't buy it. :devious

I would take you up on the offer of a brew but I need to be in Warrington by 3pm that day. :roll

PS. What has DK done to you then to make you hate them so much?

i have an Akra on mine and it is quite loud, sounds great though. there is a piece of electrical tape over the 'not for road use' stamp on mine, presumably to help get it through an MOT though god knows how? not looking forward to MOT time come May!

I have been told that MOT testers are not allowed to remove any graphics/stickers during the MOT and they have no way of testing the noise level of an exhaust so if the "not for road use" is covered they cant fail your bike.

My brothers bike has passed 7 MOT’s in his possession using this method.

Personally I would swap the electrical tape for an Akra sticker as if the guy is a stickler he might pull that off.

D&K are on the whole, a bunch of lying shysters charging hugely over-inflated prices for 2nd-hand parts, selling European parallel imports as UK bikes (which they have in the past), and generally providing cr@p service.

Other than that, they're o.k. :roll

Sounds fair enough to me, guess I'll be walking away from that deal then.

Thanks for the heads up, I only do business with good honest businesses. :roll

No prob. Thought I'd offer i up. Unless you want to make an alternative offer!!!
Wanted carbon look aswell. And ended up making my own. Not bad at about £30-40 quid.
Will post pics when bike is all back together at weekend. Woohoo..........

I run a Blue Flame carbon on the road and it sounds good without being horribly loud (baffled). Not as well built as the better known kit but not too bad - just got the typical BF brown gunge oozing out of the joint where the end pipe goes in (a lot of BFs seem to do that:dunno)
Got a tatty old Leo Vince for the track - nice pipe if you can keep it from rubbing the swing arm (I'm up to 10 spacing washers plus a bent hanger and it's still marking the swing arm protector!)
