just bought these of the bay can they be fitted by myself for now or do I realy need dynbo time I will eventualy sort it properly on the dyno but can these just be fitted for now and run ok

Definitely recommend you get them fitted and set up at the same time.

If the PC3 is second hand you don't know what map file has been loaded, could cause untold damage to your engine if some muppet has been playing around with it.

sorry mate yes and the evo airbox got me mate to bid on that as I was at work, I will let you know what you missed lol new tyres next week hopfully

I have the EVO Air kit and a PC3. I used a downloaded map to match the Acro exhaust and modded airbox and lost 5 bhp from when the PC3 was at Zero map! So PC3 is a waste of time unless you get it mapped right. A few hours on the dyno and now I am 10bhp up than with the downloaded map.

Agree with that Mark, custom dyno map s the only way to go..no downloaded map will get the best from your engine.
I was going to load a map that supposedly suited my bike mods also at first, however i was convinced by others with more knowledge, that the way to go is Dyno and custom map.

dyno it is then this is my first injection bike on my last bike I fitted a set of flatslides played with needle position and main jets until it felt right but dont know nothing about this computer set up ****

£130 i think from TT Dynotune in Cumbria.
A few years ago I paid £200+ at Junction 33 Dyno but he is very good at it and goes through it for hours with a fine toothed comb!

fitted the evo airbox and power comander today had to put a bit of foam on top of the filter so it sat tight against the bottom of the tank aparantly the pc was set up for the same mods as mine on an 02 bike, started up fine havent got a chance to test it yet holeshot quoted me 80-?100 to set it up properly which I will get done, is there a longer filter you can get to do away with the foam, needs to be about 135-140mm long

I may have a brand new racing foam filter thats never been out of the packet for you cheesie if you are interested. Give me until the morning and i'll get it measured and some pics posted up sir :thumbup

I've been quoted £140 for a full afternoons dyno work inc custom map etc, so that seems OK to me.
As soon as my MiVV comes, It'll be on the dyno!

You can fit Power Commander to your bike, as long as it has a '0' map in it. the bike will run as normal...will only change if adjusted map is in it. Did you get the software and USB lead mate..there is a zero map on the disc..overwrite the adjusted one. Then fit the unit up to the bike. Ride as normal until u can get on a Dyno.
Looking like mine is going onto Dyno Wed. for me :D. Gonna do some base runs with current set up as the bike is running well now...then gonna tune and map to see what we can raise :D Good luck with yours cheesie ol mate. Will report back on results :thumbup

The filter is 130mm tall cheesie. Not had a chance to take any pics yet i'm afraid, but it is a DT1 high flow foam filter.

cheers badger I just fitted a bit of foam which I got from site used double sided sticky tape instead of slilicone though I might take it out again and put some vaseline between the bottom of the filter airbox thanks all for your replys
