I can show you pictures from trips to the Rockies. Unfortunately, they are several hours away and require a long weekend to enjoy. No afternoon bimbles.

:)gilo, i went out of abba up to williams cafe, salt on road out of abba, and a479 to cafe...was salt !!!! never saw it in other places either...wasnt just me my mate saw it too...before me i might add.
yep i reckon fuel light comes on early..i bet it will do 120 odd miles no trouble, not that heavy on right hand

Many at the Williams cafe stop Evlin. I've not intorduced Aka_Gilo to the joys of that cafe yet unless he's been there already. Was the service its usual order a cuppa and get it 20 minutes later?

yep few there...didnt take that long, maybe its just you;) im just been looking at elctrucal problems on these tunas, im worrid now!!!!

thats the prob wi forums, fills yer heid wi worries n stuff ye never thocht aboot afore. Some times ignorance is bliss (right up tae the point the bugger brekks doon)

brown connectors on gen 2's are ok as long as kept clean and packed with battery terminal grease
and the gen'1s have no problems there

oh yes and i forgot to say
on ya gen'2s under the tank on the l/h side you have 3 white block connectors clean em and battery terminal grease em !
common problem area (they go green corrode and then melt)

and no it aint just aprilias that do that so dont worry !
most jap stuff have coroding terminals as well

gen 1's quite robust starter clutches go (like most big twins they get a hard life) but they can be fixed usualy without parts
and starter relays
nothing realy bad tho all fixable

anythin with akrapovic written on it in my book
especialy the full system lie on mine (nice deep boom)
but with exhaust's its usualy the more expensive the better
cheap cans dont last usualy (you pays ya money)
arrow are good as well
ps
and you always get good money back for them as well

thanks charley, i will keep my eye on connectors thats for sure... is mine a gen 2 then?

Gen I Tuonos lasted until 2005 with the new RSVR coming out that year, evlin. '06 and on for the Gen II. Both have merits. I kinda like the ol' skool stomp of the Gen I models. And I lurve the Racing editions.

cheers:) i still got a lot of geeking up to do on these tunas:D soon get to know things when your crawling about round cleaning them..keep your eye on things too, this bikes gunna need a loto cleaning i reckon too...will use triumph in the ****** winter now mind...worrid to death bout that polished swing arm:D
