I know I don't come here very often but some of you lards know me and I've been part of the AF1 site for over 5 years. Anyway we have a trip planned and someone has dropped out at the last minute leaving 5, it would be great to make it 6 as all accommodation is booked around this number. The Chalet sleeps ten but has a set price so that gets shared between all those attending. Great bunch of lads, mostley quick riders but no pressure if you're not, the trip is well planned and allows for slieghty slower riders, no one gets left behind... first day is a biggy but then the fun starts..:thumbup

Anyway, here are the details..

Due to an unexpected cock off there is a place going on the up and coming alps trip. Very short notice I know but it's worth letting everyone know just in case someone can make it.

The Trip.

Chunnel. depart 06:20hr Saturday 28th May (£68) Arrive first Hotel late Saturday afternoon/early evening (400 mils) (40 euro approx) I'm riding to a mates in south london friday evening and I'm pretty sure he'd have room for anyone wanting to go from up north with me..

Sunday depart for La Clusaz in the Aravis Mountains, near Lac Anncey. (750 euro between 6) spend the week doing as you wish or joining any of the ride outs. Plenty to see and do in this area, close to Italy and Switzerland.

Depart La Clusaz Friday 3rd June for hotel on return leg (40 euro approx)
Depart for Chunnel Saturday morning 4th june.

For any more details or to ask any questions pm me for my mobile number.

due to marriage, kids and being ***** I am unable to take you up on what would, for me, be the trip and biking experience of a lifetime

Sincere best wishes ... and post plenty of pics

Ahh fookin 'ell Martin, I got a weeks pass due to our lass sunning herself in Dubai over the new year with the girls..... Would have loved to put me name on the shortlist, but due to a parenting **** up and lack of hindsight, in the last month I had to pay out for an 18th a 21st and my 40th... Doh!! Finances won't stretch to the trip but hope you have a good one mate:thumbup

:flipi would go.........but im allready gunna be in spain that week on my bike whoooooooooooooooooo:whoop

Wow windy, this looks amazing. I wish I had the money and time to tag along:( I am quite familiar with this part of france, having been on a several non biking holidays there. The whole area is stunning with breath taking views. Some of the passes are actually out of this world with unbelievable views and non protected dropping edges on the roads to match. Try and take a ride to Annecy if you get a chance. it's a picturesque lakeside town that's great in summer and the road there from la clusaz is also great. For the best view, there is a public swimming pool in la clusaz that's at the top of the town with views overlooking the mountains. It's a public pool so should cost you nothing over a fiver. Haven't even mentioned the food!!!! Have a great trip and looking forward to seeing your pics.

Can't wait to get back there i a few weeks..

Windy, have you all guys have luggage racks on your bikes? I'm trying to get my holidays signed at my work place and i'm trying to plan the rest for this trip if the place is still available.
