Engine rattles

Hi guys, me 04 factory engine has a chattering like noise coming from it when bike is banked over on cornering, also if the engine labour's a bit , there's a heavy chatter sound, engine oil levels good and there's no loss in power, guessing a feel like it is slack timing chain or worn chain guides, any idea's lads.

More than likely it's your chain rattling. Check you chain tension. Are you running the bike on standard gearing? If you are drop one tooth off the front and go 2 up on the rear

yeh, am 1 down front & 2 up on rear, but noise seems to be from inside motor, drive chain tension's was ok but will double check, cheers.

These engines don't like being loaded, mine was rattling it's bollox off when riding round town.

Dropped a tooth on the front sprocket adjusted my chain tension, fitted a DrRossi EPROM and hey presto, it rides like a dream.

If you're worried get a mechanic to listen to it.
