I am asking if anyone can help me!!!
I had the worst phone call from Crescents in Southampton this morning that my engine on my 2007 RSVR Factory is not in a viable position to be stripped as they think there is further damage other than the diagnosed Small End bearing failure.. I am absolutely devastated as I have only covered 6000 miles on it and the bike is immaculate. I have also called Aprilia to see if there is anything I can do and hey presto its out of the warranty conditions, so no help there from Aprilia, thanks for that!!!!!! I can see the guys at Crescents don't want me to lay out £900 to have it stripped and there is other damage which would result in spending more money than the bike is worth!. The way I see it I have two options, either try and buy a second hand engine or sell it in the condition it is in. I really don't want to see it unless I have to.
Does anyone know where I can pick up a descent second hand engine to put into it or does anyone know of who would buy the bike in the condition it is in. Other than the engine the bike is in immaculate condition, this is where the reluctance to sell comes from but I am really not sure what to do. Guys any help or advice would greatly received, I am a 38 year old man on the verge of Crying I am gutted, not the phone call I was hoping for.. please Help.. cheers.....
