Was a shame we didn't have the flywheel puller or the 16mm socket at hand, would have loved to known exactly how bad the sprag was worn to cause the symptoms. I had gone tooled up for an electrical issue not minor engine surgery, oh well you live and learn.

I'm hoping that we've caught it in time and all Scott will need is the sprag, a new gasket and some oil.

Scott's got a pretty well tooled up garage and is pretty techncial, so I'm confident he'll manage to get the flywheel off and repair the damage.

As for technical assistance, I'll do the same for anyone around my area, if you have problems with your RSV then give us a shout, If I have time then I don't mind helping. I'll travel up to 50 miles max and I'm sorry to say I don't do London, I work in the City all week and I don't want to go back in on a weekend.

ya gotta heat the **** outta the fuckka mate,,,,until the stator,flywheel,big round steel shiny looking round fukin thing around the crank starts changing colour usually a slightly darker brown burnt colour,,like me fukin nz maori arse buddy and {pucker lips suck in then open mouth} brrraappooop ,,the bugger just pops off,,,do not try to lever ,hammer ,chisel or other pulling type devices { that ya pommy bastards or r ya penal colony aussies ?} would try to think or manufacture up ..there , easy as for the sprag i just recoed me sprag spring up to keep the little turny catchey bits tight to where they are sposed to be nice an snug and walla its been working fine for the last few years.....an *** the locktite try a big arse fuker of a spring washer then the main bolt aND TI9GHTEN THE **** RIGHT UP,,itll be fine,,ya may need a weak kiwi ta get it tight enough though ,,,these limp wristed pommy aussie ***** dont seem to have the strength
