Empting tank

Still trying to get bike started and suspect the old fuel is not helping (over 2 years old now ) any easy way to drain a full tank of fuel ? and anything i need to check/strip before using fresh fuel ?

Last time I did it,I borrowed a pump that you attached to a battery drill.Worked a treat.
You can get syphon pumps cheap as chips off ebay.

My local Aldi had some of those drill pumps in today.I think they were Â£6.

Why spend money when gravity can do it for you.

all you need is a piece of plastic pipe and someone daft enough to syphon it.

Probably better if he is a non smoker, especially if he gets a gob full of unleaded.

I did that when I was younger and dafter,.....never again.

next time you need to syphon, get the missus to do it....women tend to be much quicker getting pipes outa their mouths.....no idea why though :biggrin

all done .. cut abit of hose off and done it the old fashioned way .. including a mouth full of 2 year old super unleaded .. yuck !!

******* thing still wont start .. Gabro ecu / fresh fuel/new plugs / new battery .. had it running for 1-2 secs but stalls then wont restart . Close to putting a match in the tank tbh
