retrace your steps, have a really good look at any connectors you might have knocked, might aswell inspect them all for corrosion etc while you are poking them ;)

ive done that not having a manual doesnt help were does the earth wire go from the loom to the frame i just cant understand how it starts and rides fine with no electrics that is untill the batt goes flat

Earth wire from frame goes to engine. All the fuses are up front next to the clocks, so are the realys for indicators and headlamps, all thats under the seat is a diode pack ( could be that playing up),and a couple of relays for fuel pump and tip over.

but what i cant understand is what one thing would stop all my electrics ie dash/ lights/ horn/indacaters/back lights brake light but my start button works fine engine run and rides fine and the kill switch works as well

Aprilia service manuals for free download!

one of these should have wiring diagrams and stuff to help you figure out whats going on where, i feel your pain, had electrical gremlins of my own albeit pretty harmless (engine fan with a mind of its own) and it took me days to trace it to the relay being dodgy
