Hello people hope all is well

Had the bike on a trickle charger for a few days , went to atart it and it was dead , check the fuses under the seat and both blown so replaced them and now the iffnition doesnt work ? Everytime I plug the fuses in I get lights clocks etc etc and she starts n runs fine but the ignition is completely out of the system , any ideas much appreciated ,electrics are far from.my strong point

Man how can it start if you've NO ignition. :no

Maybe if you introduced yourself with a little background and made it a bit clearer what exactly was happening, someone might be able to help yer oot.
 
..... Excorcism would seem appropriate if your engine runs without 'ignition'.
You may have ectoplasm in your tank. I have seen this before, its hard to flush out by standard methods.

A Diesel engine will run without the ignition on too, there is a relay that controls fuel supply and if this jams on
The engine still runs when you turn the key off!!
Perhaps you have mistaken your bike for the neighbours
Defender? Shoulda gone to Specsavers......!:lol
 
Lol funny feckers :kicknuts :thumbup , the fuse box wiring chaffed against the headlight bracket and melted , causing major damage to the loom , so much so that I need a new loom (sourced and currently fitting) , so well worth checking that your looms aren't chafing people ....

After you all finish with your diesel and ectoplasm that is of course ,

No exorcism required thank god as iv just run out of holy water,

Perhaps the penny has dropped.

We all agreed that the next FUD that dived straight in with a question without an intro would get no sense out of the rest of us.

Pleased to see you can still still laff about it.

Normal service will probably be resumed.
 
Lol yeah tbh I would usually have introduced myself but I was flapping abit lmao , all in good humour
