Ok guys I have an 01 mille, it has been driving excellent but EFI shows up on the right side of the dash. What does this mean, I do have a full akraprovic and a power commander 3. I just bought the bike and am contempt but would really like to get the EFI of.

Connect the two diagnostic cables together and the system will tell you whats wrong, without this its gonna be difficult to diagnose the issue. One of the tecjnically gifted guys will be along soon but for sure the best place to start is to pull the code from the OBD computer (It displays the code on the display screen)

Do a quick search here and you will see how to put the bike in diagnosis mode ...

Hmmm after thinking about this I see you have a PC and to be honest I dont know if the PC controls all of the bikes functions or just the fueling doh

EFi comes up on mine for the first couple of seconds when you start it then goes away, but if you wash the bike over the next couple of days until its all dried out I get EFI popping up once riding over 3k revs. One of my sensors does not like to get wet :) it does not effect the riding of the bike at all hense I just leave it :)

it's usually the air sensor in the left air duct.

water can get trapped in the duct when you wash it leaving the sensor in a pool of water. always worth stuffing a sock inthe duct when washing.

not a big job to get too either, just take out the screws on the ear and its there in front of you

Sometimes the connector for the temp on the rear cilinder also EFIes :D

The exact simptoms as you described, efies at the start, then usualy stops, but it has its days when it efies all the time.

It does efect the motor running (but not enought to notice it), because it has no info for the temp it sends the most rich mixture to the engine, same as if the engine would be cold.

Fix is simple, just nudge some wires a bit, on my bike it helps if you nudge the wires on the left side above the radiator, if you sit on the bike and put your hand in the hole in the fairing, on top you feel some wiring, if you nudge it the ******* EFI goes away. I fixed it by sorting the cables a bit, no EFI since then :D(and life is good again(if you dont count the front light not working :D))
