Hi everyone,
I'm new to this having owned this Mille for a couple of weeks, just wanted a twin for a change, however today after a 50mile run the bike was left in the rain for about 2hrs, on my return home the display was showing "EFI" though there was no reduction in power or any other faults.
Would anyone have any idea of where I should start looking before the visit to a dealer?
Regards
Darren

water logged/corroded connections on the air sensor in the left air duct is a strong candidate assuming the bike is pre 04

it will probably stop when it dries out but best to check the conections anyway

Thank you, I'll give that a go in the morning, it did rain quite a bit today, maybe I should check and clean all the electricle connections and give them a good squirt to GT85
Cheers

Thanks Spoonz,
took all the plastic off, checked, cleaned and gave all the connection a squirt of GT85
All works fine now
Cheers

Before i set off to the TT i bought some dialetic grease ( dont ask me what it does ) and went round the bike and did all the connectors...............as far as to say that it pissed down on the way home solid for 2 hours and i didnt have any problem, in fact the Fireblade had more problems.

I'll try that, to be honest the bike is getting on a bit and was all put together dry when it was made it's just a case of getting my hands dirty and try and fix things before they go wrong
Cheers

Do a search on the following.

Sprag failure
Brown connector mod
16t front sprocket
and no doubt their will be other lads that will add things and help.

Yep, check you've got a 14 amp/hour battery fitted (not a 12) and keep it topped up; chop out the brown connector; fit a fireblade side stand and accept that no matter what you do the rear brake will never really work...:thumbup

I'll look at the battery over the weekend, yes the rear break isn't that good even after a good clean up new pads and oil, would the fireblade stand be less verticle and what year would i use?
