Edwards Dyno Printout

M

mark99

If anyones interested, I've uploaded the dyno printout from the Fuchs Dyno tune done by Southern Cross last week. The printout is in my photo album on this site.

This clearly shows the 30hp gain created by removing the restriction on the air box (it was a racing airbox without filter...... but the guy previously had stretched a foam filter over the stacks killing the peak power...... restricting to around 100 bhp).

The airbox and filter was removed and changed to a renegade (as they had one in stock) and re-tuned to yield 130 bhp at rear wheel and 78 foot lbs torque with a fairly smooth progressive curve. :inlove

My old 02 has approx 74 ft lbs and 122 bhp at rear wheel but a noticeable power dip between 4,500 and 5,500 revs (just the sort of blinking revs you use a lot on the road around lanes!).

so the only mods you have is a different airbox and a custom map done on a dyno?

A modified collector should sort this out :devious

thats impressive as my 06 factory has a hooked airbox and a full system and mine is only 123bhp. Am sure some dyno centers manipulate performace figures?

05 Mille was 139 HP at crank, 06 Mille was about 143 BHP at the crank.

Edwards is supposedly 147 BHP at crank.

The twin can on the edwards is a race can too (not for road use).

i think fuchs dyno`s give a slightly different reading form the more common dynojet ones. That`s maybe why the edwards is showing loads more bhp.:dunno

Hi Steve,

I doubt you would feel it on the road...... :)

Baron,

I had my 02 set up with the same guys, same dyno - Ti racing chip, renegade box, early air ducts (better) racing zorst (single) and that gave 121-122 bhp which is about right.

The guys there used to rebuild mille engines and were reputedly getting over 140 -145 bhp and even a bit more. Guess that was serious work tho. :devious

Thats some good numbers then. I can`t wait to get a power commander and map, Oh and a hooked air box. unfortunately all my money`s gone on toys and a puppy this year :cry

awesome numbers... all my dyno runs have been on Southern Crosses... best to keep to the same one when upgrading tuning parts... so you can keep an eye on what they do !! :thumbup

my 02 de-baffled standard can puts out more peak bhp than the Ti can !! :confused

my bike has been behaving itself lately... so after xmas im going forward with the 57mms & Hook kit... il be very happy to get those numbers !! :doug
