Basically, no matter what chip is fitted (we tried 2 different chips from different suppliers) I'm getting exactly the same readings on a dyno (same power and torque curves), but the bike is running way way too rich and only making 100hp with the PC III on a zero map, it takes a lot of mapping to get the fuelling right but then starting the bike becomes problematic. We have had to cut the fueling on the map by over 40% higher up the rev range to get it in a decent running window, I know it isn't the dyno thats playing up as we tried other bikes on it to make sure, and it appears the PC III is working correctly. When mapped Im getting 113hp, thats with 57 tb's, arrow shotgun system, open air box and wire cut. It looks like no matter what chip is in and a zero map the ECU is just dumping fuel in, so has anybody had any expierence of there ecu playing up like this? or any other suggestions? Almost forgot, its a 2001 RSVR.

Cheers

have you actually tried disconnecting the pc3?

just get the bike running with what ever chip you have ? so you have a base line

are you using the trim pots? have the co levels and TB's been balanced?

if it is still the same swap out the entire ECU from another bike to elimate that.

then work through everything methodically...

was it running ok before?

When it had the 51mm TB's on it was the same, even with the PC III disconected, fitted the 57's and its the same so Im thinking its not the TB's, but co levels and haven't been checked and they haven't been balanced since I fitted them, the trim pots aren't being used and it was running fine before, but even with the 51 TB's on it was running very rich, hence Im now heading down the road of the ECU having a fault, hoping to try a different ecu in the next couple of weeks, if that doesn't work then not sure what to try next!
