Ecu change when fitting Akra's -help pls.

Hi All.

Gonna fit my new pipes this weekend and wondered if i needed to change the ecu setting? And if so how please?

My bike is an 06 rsvr with standard cans at the moment and I will be fitting titanium akrapovic pipes.

I read somewhere that on the 06 bikes there is no need but thought it better to ask those that know.

You need to take your bike to an Aprilia dealer who will activate MAP2 held within your bike's ECU. This is the open loop Map for use with race cans. The dealer will also need tweek the throttle bodies to reset CO2 levels.

Hi mate.

Thank you very much for that, I take it I am ok fitting the Akrapovic pipes then taking the bike over to my dealer? It's about 15 miles. Or should I get the Ecu activated with the standard pipes on and then fit the pipes when I get home?

Fit the Akra cans first, then take it to the dealer for the MAP change and throttle body adjustment
