Hi Guys.
I know it says Triumph RAT Club, but I believe all bikes are welcome
It is for a good cause, Bob
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been contacted by Peter Brocklehurst from the RAF association with referance a charity ride taking place on Sunday 5th April. This is not an official Windy Corner event but it is for a very good cause and might be of intrest to some of you
Please find information below and attached
I work for a charity called the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) who provide welfare for serving and ex-serving members of the RAF and their dependants when they are in need. We are organising an Easter Egg Run Motorcycle event for April 5th this year. The run has 3 start venues across the country with one of them being at Leicester City Football Club. The idea for the event is to start out from Leicester and ride over to Shrewsbury Town Football Club where the other 2 ride outs will meet as well (One from Wales and the other from Birmingham). From there the RAF will lead us on site to RAF Cosford where the bikes will be parked up on the base and everyone will have access to the RAF Museum with its collection of over 70 aircraft from World War II and the Cold war.
To take part we are just asking for a £5 donation per rider and ask that they bring along an Easter Egg which will then be distributed to RAF families including injured personnel. We would very much like your members to take part in the first of what we hope will become an annual event. When we talked last week you said you may be able to include the e-mail addresses of other R.A.T. packs so that I could contact them as well. These addresses would be very much appreciated.
If your members are interested in this event I will happily pass on some entry forms. I have also attached a copy of a letter we are sending out to bike dealerships to give you some more information.
Many thanks for all your help, look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Peter Brocklehurst
