Hi every one,
I am new on here, I have searched the threads but can't find any info about any one in the UK, who can re-flash a V4R 1000 ecu and setup on a dyno.
Is there anyone in the UK who can do this? I am aware I can send the ECU off to Gabro.

Thanks

Geoff at Hilltop in Earl Shilton can do it, 4vr on here had his done there and he rates it quite highly.

Thanks for the advice, I have checked his website out and I have emailed him for quote

he charges £360 inc setup, or these may be closer to you
believe he uses the same system as gabro as hes good buddys?!

I have given up trying to contact CJS Racing, I sent them an email - they didn't reply. I tried to phone them - the phone just rang an no one answered. I have tried to ring 2 more times, the phone starts ringing then after a short time I get the engaged tone.

You could always try Crescent in Verwood, They have a brilliant dyno team (race team) and they used to be a Aprilia dealer too. Might be worth calling them and hearing what they say.

I have sent them a message, thanks for the info

they no longer deal with Aprilia's, but they did recommend - JB motorcycles in Yeovil - waiting for a reply from them

JB Motorcycles (Yeovil) no longer flash Aprilia ECU's. Looks like Geoff at Hilltop is the best option

I had mine reflashed by gabro. He sets them up for austin racing cans i think, but mine has a werkes comp gp and he said it may not be the ultimate, but would still be better than a aprilia race ecu, I have had it installed for a couple of months and it is utterly outstanding. Really easy to send and turnover less than a month

I have a 2016 Factory with a soon to install graves slip on and kn filter. Need race ECU or reflash stock ecu. But what is actually done? And what are the results one can expect.

info I have gathered so far from a bit of research - RACE mapping changes parameters such as fuelling, timing & throttle response PLUS the ride-by-wire parameters that manage acceleration & engine braking. The flapper valve in the exhaust system is also disabled and can be removed (servo too). Fuel economy appears to be better with race map too. Race mapping retains the 3 power modes of Road, Sport & Track.

I couldn't put it better. Aprilia race maps are good, but gabro is better. Contact gabro racing. Simply lift tank unplug ecu and send it. When you get it back you will have to do the throttle learning. There are loads of threads and you tube links to show how its done. I thought it would be difficult, but turned out to be so easy I thought i was missing something...A quick call to Rizla v4 assured me it was simple.

also Gabro changes the quickshifter settings and the APRC settings, the settings for the qs are soooo much better, it slips through the gears at both low revs and full throttle and everything in between. For me this was the most noticeable thing about the map tbh, unfortunately I'm not hard enough on the throttle to notice the traction control settings lol, it did get rid of the flat spot created by the Scropian end can I fitted but things like that are only noticed under full throttle. all in all its cheaper than hilltop, has more benefits and is plug and play with the correct leads. If I had got the address correct on the postage it would have been back to me within 2 weeks.
