well the searcjh for my tuono has hotted up!! ive been to a localish dealer today and they have 3 in there ! 2 factories and 1 R1000 point is which one to choose???
basically there all roughly the same price
theres a 2009 standard R in matt black with 1500miles
a standard factory with 5000miles on it in the red and white
and a standard factory 2008 with 10,000 miles on it!
so which one ??

TBH i don't know the difference between the R or Factory like the rest of you.

Whichever has never seen dirt/rain is my answer :)

****** hud the bus noo lako manni, noo the factories aw guid an weel if its like nobis,,,,, the black hoor noo its ****** tiiiiiideee,,, (see nob, a compliment ya pap lol)
but as maist on here will tell ye, the matt black is fast as **** an punk as ****,,,,,,
ach a dinae ken 3's a hoor o a choice, ah'd tak aw 3 oot if the dealers aggreable, and wan will feel richt, then hammer the hoors price doon as we're in a recession an its christmas,,,,,,, you know it maks sense manni

Do as Sean says and hang on till you can have a test ride on all 3. haggle the price as a cash sale has potential .

2009 R1000 is £6300
2008 factory is £6800
2007 factory is £6500
i,l chop my zx10 in and then finance the rest and yeah they have said i can test ride all 3 if needed.
seems the general opinion is that the 2007 factory is the best value.

Does the 07 have blue wheels or 08 F have gold wheels, gold is good imho. If one has cans consider that or ask them to swap them on to the preferred bike. Got to be a Factory though.:thumbup

yeah 07 has the blue wheels and 08 the gold both are standard although im gonna stick some akro,s on, 08 looks slightly better but has 5k more on the clock and is about £300 more expensive.
milage actually shouldnt be too much of an issue as i only do about 3k a yr

The 08 with gold wheels will hold its value a bit more a reckon as they distinguish that years model from the older one. Looks better to imho. The mileage won't be an issue if it has s/history and hasn't had ten owners. The 08 should just about start beginning to 'loosen up' a bit to. Thier is a popular opinion that Prillas get better with a bit of mileage on. I noticed this on my Falco. £6800 is not a lot of money when you look at the spec sheet on a Factory Ape. My mates just paid 7k for an 08 F with 3500m and Akkis on. Maybe ask them to put some cans on or meet you half way for a set.

Go for the 2008 Factory :thumbup as it looks better with GOLD wheels/frame than my 2007 Factory Blue wheels/gold frame.

Depends how you ride. Yes the factory has better susp, but a good rider on the R will keep up without too much trouble, depending on who's riding it.
Coming from a 10 you will love either bikes handling. I had a 636 before and it a huge difference. My vote is the newer R.

08 with the gold wheels would be my choice, as long as the history/owners is sound. Ride em both though before deciding. Haggle hard too. Not many people buying bikes a week before xmas and if they aren't a Prilla dealer and have three in, they'll be wanting to get rid to vary the stock.

Mate go for the 2008 Factory! Mine is sweet as......I had a Tuoldo and road a few, new style Tuono R but the suzzies on the factory total transform the bike.......:cheers
