Hi Folks,

I've been busy tonight takeing the bung out of the collector below the airbox and doing Badger's air box mod with foam and vaseline. Also the bike had a datatool digi gear indicator fitted but it doesn't work and the guy I bought the bike from said it never worked for him either when I asked after takeing it for a test ride.

I have managed to follow the model specific instructions on the datatool website and it is now getting power and I can tell it how many gears the bike has but when I start the engine and try to program it it just keeps displaying the flashing 1?????Could somebody please help me by posting a pic of how their's is fitted?Being honest I'm not that great with colours and wouldn't be surprised if I had spliced into the wrong colours with the wires from the indicator at some point!!!!

Cheers,

Ross.

HI,when earthed at the frame I can set mine up running through the gears. However, the bike will get hot before I can complete the programming or when fed from the loom, which it needs to pick up the relative pulses,on disconnecting, the program(set)is lost. The problem is the pulses on our Milles are only 3p/min,as against,5p/min on Jap bikes.I have the best I have managed so far,bar 4th gear. The gearchange is slow to be displayed also.Hope that makes sense?!! Cheers mate,

Thinking of just takeing the thing off I've never had one before so If I got it working the novelty probably wouldn't be long in wearing off!!!

At best these piles of %hit are just random number generators. Waste of time.

Use your rev limiter to tell to when to change gear LOL

I sent an E-mail to the place in italy where mine came from and they replied saying:

"Salve,
le istruzioni per l'rsv1000 sono sicuramente esatte, è stato installato più volte sulla sua moto.

Saluti "

Which basically says they have had hundreds of installs that work and their instructions are correct! I can't get it to work though!

I have to say i have them on 4 bikes and have never had a problem ,3 wired in myself and 1 plug and play ,all setup on a paddock stand and this can be a little tricky but once setup i have no issues.

I'm an Electronics Engineer and I couldn;t get mine working. I need to have a better look but access to the ECU wires is a little cramped and you need some bare wire. I haven't found anyone yet that has one working on a 04+ RSVR. Even Don from Southern Cross said if I get mine working he wants to know about it so he can buy the same.
